WHAT TO BRING
Camp Wooten is in an isolated location, but has many of the basic necessities, like fully equipped bathrooms and food service areas.
There are cabins available and plenty of space for tenting if you prefer.
There is a prayer cabin that you are welcome to use with plenty of prayer books, bring your favorite if you like!
Please bring a water bottle for every member of your group. It will be HOT.
Feel free to bring your favorite (portable) musical instrument. You can join in the camp band for morning and evening devotions and there is plenty of free time to play as well.
We do have a camp nurse however, if you are taking any medication please bring it with you. If you arrive with out critical medication or medical device (e.g. an Epi-Pen), you will be asked to go immediately to the nearest pharmacy to obtain the necessary item. Sheltering Branch Baha’i School is held at a remote location. Acute emergency medical care is 2 hours away. Individuals with serious medical conditions are advised not to attend. Please also be advised that there is no air conditioning and temperatures may be hot. Please take this into consideration if heat poses a health challenge.
There is a real possibility that the West Nile Virus will eventually reach our idyllic corner of the world.
Bring soap, shampoo, tooth brush, towel and other personal effects.
Sleeping bag and pillow – it does get hot so you may want to bring sheets as well for your bed.
Not all trails or areas have lights so please bring a flashlight or head lamp.
Any sports equipment (balls, gloves, tennis rackets) you like is a good idea including bikes. Helmets are required.
Lightweight metal folding chairs are available. If you would prefer something else please bring your favorite camp chair.
